I wanted to give it more of a whole body shroud look so i made a second body shroud, problem was i wanted to match the front so i found these instructions online which i basically followed and took photos along the way
i had originally planned on making my own stencils but after seeing tacticalcamo's stencils retail for $20 and it was the same stencils used orginially on the front shroud it seemed like an easy decision. The stencils come highly recommended and made the job very easy as it had just enough adhesion too prevent runs but not too much where it'd remove paint when removed
before i go too far into it you should firstly read soggy's painting post as the painting and curing techniques are the same
so firstly the materials i used the aforementioned stencils, tremclad primer's paint and clear coat (make sure you don't buy the satin but instead get the flat as i should have) i had also bought a can of gray engine spray paint out of necessity (hard to match the original gray)

so because of the type of stencils (positive) and the masking technique the first colour laid will appear to be the last, and because i wanted to minimize the number of coats for best coverage (makes stencil removal easier later on) i choose to paint the white first then the gray and finally the black
here's an example of the positive stencil (camera is alittle blurry the stencils are quite sharp)

here is the first coat with stencils laid (white on white doesn't show well) i also kept the other shroud at hand so i didn't go overboard

lay your next coat and be sure to give ample time for it to cure so you don't end up laying stencils on soft paint (i let it sit for 8 hours)
next lay your next set of stencils, you can also overlap previous stencils to give it alittle more depth (remember that when done it'll appear like the white is ontop)

you can then start laying down your final coat which will appear to be your background colour

another 6.5 - 8 hours you can start removing the stencils go slow and try to peel the stencil back on itself, i used a hobby knife to help start the process
again its the camera thats alittle blurry the edge's are actually quite sharp

once finished peeling you can then look at your work, the stencil kit also includes negitive stencils that you can then lay and add more colour if you feel some areas are lacking

example of negative stencil

know's the time you can lay down your final clear and oven bake the paint (optional but recommended) just keep it low and watch it should only take 15-20min (AND DONT USE YOUR MOTHERS OVEN ON MOTHERS DAY, trust me
