This may be an alternative for some of you, as long as you don't need it now!

I wouldn't say non-stop, but I called him regularly! He eventually told me point blank on the phone that he was going to order a couple of parts kits just to get me the pistons that I had paid for. Now, this may sound bad to some, but it was his decision. I am not sure that it will work for you the same way as it did for me, but it is definitely worth a shot. He said that he could get the parts by themselves, but his supplier was out of them at the moment.
My recommendation (don't use my name) is go ahead, order and pay for what you want. Give him a week or so to respond and then, call him and nicely ask about your order. Keep in mind, I never once got rude with him. He is a very nice guy and was willing to do whatever possible to get me the parts that I had paid for.
This is a hot item for all of the TM7 owners, so it may take some time.
Be NICE!! That is the key..
Good luck.

I know that this thread is really dated - but, wondering if there is any news on the new plunger availability? I live in Canada... I have used my TM7 all this year with no problems but just had my first noid issue this past weekend. I don't even know how to get the plunger out of my solenoid to see if it's possibly an updated one (I have one of the limited Olive TM7's) so if anyone could give me a tip on getting it out without damaging anything...

If you have the copper plunger, then you have a v1.2 solenoid, silver is 1.1. There is now an 'upgrade solenoid' (v2) that you can buy for $60+, which is basically an adapter with a Mini solenoid on it. I have one in my wife's TM-7 and its been functioning great.

I was wondering, anyone with the old plunger tried wiping it clean and rubbing it down with powdered graphite? Maybe steelwooling it down first. That may extend your intervals between sticking episodes by not being "gummy" like lube can be. I don't know how graphite will behave in a magnetic field so this may not be a solution/alternative at all, and may simply gum up with graphite instead.
The new plunger looks coated or plated which helps reduce sticking. I also see the new solenoids are stronger which means a stronger mag field which would also help reduce sticking.

The new version seems to be made of copper. I assume they did this to prevent it from eventually becoming magnetized over time and sticking magnetically to the steel sides of the noid. Graphite does help actually, I run my TM-7 using it with great success!

Yes, I wonder if that is a permanent fix, or if the trouble returned...
