I just want to start off saying this is not set in stone. I was looking at gear for a little while now, and this is what I really want to get, or my plan is to get, if you guys can tell me other places to get paintball gear cheaper, different tanks i can get that are cheaper, Or ANY gear for that matter, that is cheaper, that is better, what i should get, etc, what should i scrap and buy something else, just give me your input :) it would be much appreciated !

So here is the plan...

· BT-4 Delta Elite 175$ (Kijiji, although can be sold, may have to buy a new one)

·   Empire E-vents Mask $129.95 (you need a good mask, so i just figured i'd splurge and get a top-grade one)

·   Ninja Deluxe Quick Disconnect RemoteHose W/ Slide Check $49.95

·   X7 Low Profile Hopper $16.45

·   GXG Tactical Vest – Digi Green $69.95(somewhat matches the BT woodland digi products, and holds paintball gear)

·   BT Combat Jersey ZE – Woodland Digi$68.95 (matches vest, good material)

·   BT Combat Pants ZE – Woodland Digi$107.95 (matches Jersey and vest, good material)

·   140 round GXG Pods – $11 (4, black,smoke look)

·   BT Remote Line Cover $19.95

·   Ninja 68/4500 tank $199.95

Total Cost for Need to buy items:

$849.10

Again, if you can suggest any substitutes for gear or stuff I should get, it would be awesome :) thanks guys! Also here is the website I got most of my prices from http://www.tacticalpaintball.ca/ If you can suggest any more websites (CANADIAN PLEASE) for products, i'd be more than happy as to check them out :) I just want to keep the shipping fees as low as possible.

Here are a few other paintball websites to check out. You might find a deal on shipping since it's not as far away. Tactical paintball runs out of Vancouver and you are in Nova Scotia. Quite a distance away.

http://www.buypbl-paintball.com/
http://www.premiumpa...m/en/index.html
http://www.flascpaintball.com/

Buypbl is out of Montreal, Premium paintball is out of the Toronto area, and FLASC is out of Ingersol which is near London, Ontario. bvdave is the owner of FLASC and a moderator on these forums. He can answer a lot of your questions about his products. The other thing in your kit that you are missing is a barrel kit so that you can over bore and under bore your barrel to the size of the paint you are using that day. That is where FLASC comes in. Also I don't know if you have any brick and mortar paintball shops near you but if you do you might want to check them out too.

Don't know too many places to buy in Canada since I'm out in California, but your gear list looks pretty good.  When it comes to gear I think it really comes down to personal preference, and what fits you.  The only thing you might need to add to your list is  a good pair of boots, or cleats, and a good pair of gloves.  I know I've taken a few finger shots, and the armored gloves are a must.  Just my 2 cents.

Your are starting with good gear on the list . I know the one thing I "cheaped" out on when I started was I picked up army surplus camo pants/jacket - got them for $30 bucks for both . I picked up pants , jersey and body armor after . And like was said - get good boots/cleats , dry comfortible feet are happy feet .

Thanks :) I know we have an army surplus, about 30 minutes away from me and they specialize in CADPAT products, so I might go ahead and look what they have in stock, probably save alot on camo, but I my only question about it is it heavy? like  I want to have light/ semi-light gear so I was just wondering. I think Tactical paintball is pretty good if I buy my stuff from there, and spend over 150$ I get free shipping. but I'll defintely check out the other websites :) Thanks for all the advice!

A couple other options for you are some local shops.

I'm not sure where you are in the valley but Bruce's online gives some sweet deals on gear. I've bought a TM 15 and TM7 from them as well as a bunch of other stuff.  Bruce can be a pain, he has a terrible attitude for someone dealing with the public but if you want good prices check him out.  He's in New Minas. Contact him direct for the best prices. Email or call.
http://brucesonline.com/index.php

Eastern painball supply are in Moncton but if you email them for prices they give some great deals. They also ship free using Acadian Lines buses in the province.

http://www.easternpb.com/

Also, sign up on merseyroad.com.  We have an active forum and a busy buy/sell/trade area so you may get a deal.  Don't be afraid to consider buying some used gear. I bought my first set of BT combat's(pants/jersey)  used and loved them.  Selling them if you are an x-large. I think getting a pair of real paintball pants was my best purchase after I got my marker. Oh and most of the prices on the b/s/t are negotiable.

Since you seem to be going with the BT camo you might want to consider the Avatar. It's practically the same mask but matches your gear.

As for the remote, I strongly suggest you consider an Pro-connect III.  I love mine and feel they are much better then standard remotes.  I heard Bruce might have them in stock. Milsig also carries them

The service from Pro-connect is top notch if you have any issues.

I envy you guys who can shop in one go, took me 2 years to get most of what I wanted. :)

Like Tenit, I'd replace the Ninja remote to a Pro-Connect III. It hasn't failed once and it almost requires no maintenance. Costs around 60$ CDN.

Tenit, I know ALL about bruce, he can be a royal pain in the ass man.. I know first hand. I supposedly " ruined" one of his rental guns when it jammed because the breach was full of old paint -.- but as you said, when it comes to making money, he can REALLY cut you some deals :) I'll definitely check the local store, and bruce does have some BT apparel in ! I'll definitely look for a pro-connect II even though milsig is outta stock for them

If you ever make it down to Mersey I'm usually there and you can check out the pro connect. If there's a blue fj cruiser around just ask where the owner of it is. I play for the Mersey road team in a couple woods ball leagues so any of the staff there know me. Not by ten it though

I'd suggest swapping put the GXG vest for the BT battle vest - which also comes ready to go but is built much more solidly and isn't as expensive as the Merc or HRT vest once you get all the pouches - unless you get a nice used deal. I'm trying to revive the 3rd GXG vest in use just inder two years, for a different friend as we speak. The Velcro just doesn't hold up.

If you get your post count up, I have a new black avatar mask for sale in the BST section.

Here's a link to two different versions that are preset for you:

Battle Vest

BT Chest Rig

If you can load up the BT Catalog on the Empire/BT main page (bottom right of the page), you can see front and back views of each of the above when you zoom in, pages 32-33.  These are very solidly made and shouldn't be as expensive as the GXG but should last much longer.  Great bang for your hard earned buck.  I have seen deals online, many in the BST section on this forum, where entire vests complete with pouches (MERC and HRT) for at or near $100.

I have one of each, one now has all BT pouches, and the other has ACU pouches to match my outfit.  I'm also using my extra ACU pouches on my BT Molle Belt for ultralight load days.

The thing with the post count is a really great tool the moderators have that helps keep us safe from people out to screw us. The idea behind it is that by posting that special number of times it helps the community get to know you and what you are like with your posts. Generally people out to scam others are looking for a quick buck and by having that post count it would require a significant amount of work on the part of a scammer in order to scam someone of this forum. It's a very nice crime prevention tool.

okay :) for sure man, people are out there just to scam you, and I guess it is a pretty crafty tool against scammers. Thanks for the links Jake, the Battle vest looks really cool :) too bad you couldn't get it in a olive color, but it still looks good none the less, I'll take all these suggestions into consideration when it comes buying time

As far as vest go, i have a petrol vest, its got room for EVERYTHING, and i got that from Bruce, the only real issue i think with his store, is, he will not cut a deal if its only a single item you buy, or a least not the best deal, but if you buy in bulk, as in get quite a bit of gear there he will most likely strike a damn good deal. PS, one day i watched him almost blow an air tank, but it flew off before it really messed things up, but it FLEW across the room and probably could have hurt someone....

If I was you, I would buy used for the most part. Get a good marker used and things like your tactical vest used as well. It will greatly decrease the prices and you will be able to buy more products. I shop at www.paintballgear.ca and they are a great website! Very very fast shipping to me. I have also ordered from www.canadapaintball.com ...

Again though, you can find things used for pretty cheap on places like Techpb, pbnation, sometimes here etc. You could easily find a Ninja tank on pbnation for 110$ or less. Can find pants for 60$ used probably and a jersey for 30-40$ I have bought many things used and saved a lot of money but just watch who you buy from on pbnation as they have a lot of scammers. Make sure to check the feedback they have and whether they have any negatove feedback.

First thing I would suggest, find a dealer/retailer and ask if you can get a package deal for buying a kit all together, you can get some good deals that way, I always give discounts when my customers buy large chunks of equipment or packages, so definantly ask, you can save a lot by bundling :)

I would definantly look at the BT battle vest, I know a lot of people who have the Genx and always ask for a new one for christmas because they generally only last a season of regular usage, bt vests are built tough,

definantly check out a few shops before you pick one, some of the prices on your list are prety high considering your in the US so I know you can do better without much looking, as for the clothing, most new people start out with surplus because its cheep, but the BT paintball specific clothing is definantly worth it if you have the change for it, built specific to paintball it will work better for you and of course (imo) looks a lot better, the BT clothing line is awesome, I have been using BT clothing since it was released and cant say enough good things about it, expecially the nbew ZE line, just fantastic, not cheep (expecially in Canada...) .. but fantastic

for the remote line, I would check pure energy, proconnect3, or guerilla air (same style as Proconnect, personally I dont really like the Ninja remote lines, I find them to feel cheep, and have longer leads which means less coil so they dont stretch as much.. that said some people love em, I guess its a love hate thing, in the end all remotes are basically the same and will do the same job, so its one thing you can look at based on price, just make sure you get a brand that has wide bore adapters, (and not a little hole in the remote adapter for air) most do now adays, but some still dont, its not that the air hole isnt big enough to feed air, its that some marker ASA's have a hole off the the side, so if they arent on top of each other you can get  starvation issues.

as for your tank, if you plan on using a remote, id get a big massive tank, personally I run a 110Ci and when its on your back plus made of carbon fibre, you dont even notice the difference except that you never run out of air, you can get a 90CI Ninja tank for $160 at Hustlepaintball, may want to check with them for a bunch of your stuff actually including the proconnect III remote for $40
