Upgrade Solenoid Link
This is the most recent version of the solenoid and seems to have resolved the issue, to the extent that it occurs on the Mini. Just be aware that the issue is primarily caused by lube getting inside, so make sure you're using a good third party lube and that you're putting just enough on the o-rings only, to make them shiny.

Once you get the new solenoid, you should be set. I wouldn't recommend changing anything else internal, other than maybe getting the APE board, but that probably won't make any difference to the actual issue you're having.

Wow, feels like a necro post. If you'd read through the rest of these forums, you'd realize that this is actually going to make things worse and not better.

Loose in what way ... side to side or front to back wobble? A gap? With one of mine there was a slight gap between solenoid and frame but provided the o-rings between are in good shape and there's no wobble to allow air to get out, it should be fine.
