So I had some time today and decided to have a go at modding my current TM-7 shell to allow for velocity adjustment from the side of the marker instead of the bottom. Unfortunately I didn't really have the right tool for the job, I should really have started with a dremel blade cutter to cut the lines straight and then used a sander to sand around the edges and take out the middle, that would've helped make the edges straighter. Because of that I ended up slipping a little and scratching around the outside (which I converted into + and - signs to indicate direction), however it worked out pretty good in the end. I'll probably make a better job of my wife's when I eventually do hers.
So with the stock slid in, the hole is covered on the inside, providing some protection from paint/dirt/water and when I need to chrono, I can just slide the stock back and gain access to the adjuster. It's amazing how much easier chrono'ing is now with this setup, I don't even need to take my marker off target before making an adjustment and trying again. BT take note, I think you should be doing this as standard on these markers, I hated having to flip my marker upside down in order to adjust velocity.
