I want a new barrel for my bt delta when I get it and I was set on the rap4 recon barrel because you can attach differant ends to it and it's rifled which I'm not sure how it would work. But the people were talking the apex2 which I didn't know there was a 2 and I didn't like the look of the first one but the 2nd one looks good. So which one is better recon or apex2? Can the apex2 be mounted on the recon without a mod?

A lot of us use the Flasc barrels. You can get them with the apex 2 tip on them. They are similar to the recon barrels in that they have threading on the front so that you can affix tips and other stuff.

Riffled barrels have never been proven to improve anything. Lots of hype, no results. Like Splinterspartan said, if you want the ability to change tips including the apex 2, Flasc barrels are the only way to go.

Well will that fit in the delta shroud? Is it the 7/8 diameter?

Go FLASC - better pricing than RAP4, more tips, way better service. I own two types of barrels BT or FLASC.  Nothing else touches my babies... (wink)...lol

Good call phantom. I always forget Flasc has retailers in the states now. Of course I only live a couple hours from the man himself!!

Yeah I wasn't expecting a warm welcome lol but it is enjoyed haha how is the stock barrel that comes with the apex2? What does the flasc offer that's better than the original?

Not bad but I believe its a 1" diam not 7/8" - 3/4".  Something to keep in mind when you want to use it with a shroud.

The stock barrel is ok but it's a one trick pony, the Flasc barrel definitely offers you options more options. You don't want the apex? Great! Unscrew it and thread on your vast array of Flasc thread on tips. You want to scare all the little ones? Fantastic! Screw on your cannoniser and watch them cower in fear.

But isn't the apex2 two haves held on by o rings how does it screw on?

You mount the Apex 1 or 2 to the Flasc adapter and then it threads on to the front of Flasc barrels.

Tomcat has a good point. The barrel that comes with the Apex 2 will not fit inside the Delta front shroud....

Yeah that barrel is 7/8 so with the adaptor the barrel will be like 60 dollars right
