FORUM RULES
1. No Spamming. Spamming is characterized by the initiation of threads or posts that contribute nothing to a forum, be it on or off topic. Examples: empty bodies, bodies with few words that have no relation to the current thread or discussion (messages such as "first post", "hello" or "hey so & so"), posts that state they are spam, bumping of old topics (without added contribution to the thread), multiple posts in a row, fad threads (such as who's better, rate me, or location), or low content posts (posts without meaning are unnecessary and unacceptable). 2. No Prejudiced Comments. Demeaning comments using race, religion, sexual orientation, culture, ethnicity, handicap, nationality, or gender as a means of insult are unacceptable.
3. Appropriate Forums. Keep all topics in their appropriate forums. If you're unsure of the proper location for your topic, post it in Shooting The Breeze. If you can't locate a thread you've made, use the search feature as it might have been moved to a more appropriate forum by a Moderator.
4. No Redundant Threads. Before posting a thread, use the search feature to ensure there is not already a thread on the same topic. If there is already a thread, please use it as there may already be several replies with good information about your topic.
5. No Thread /Post Recreation. If any post gets deleted or locked, do not make a thread identical or similar to the locked one, or make a thread asking why the previous was deleted or locked. In this instance, contact a Moderator.
6. No Bypassing Censors. Our Site is programmed with a list of words that are considered vulgar under any context, and these words are not allowed to be posted. Attempting to bypass the censor by misspelling, inserting spaces or symbols, transposing letters, using look-alike symbols, or any other method is not allowed. Additionally, certain words are prohibited from being used in topic titles and user information pages; bypassing the censor to post those words where they are restricted is also not allowed.
7. No Sexually Explicit Material. This is defined as sexually suggestive and/or nearly-nude images, links, or content that may be deemed inappropriate by Moderators or Administrators.
8. No Illegal Activities. Posts that violate or incite others to violate the law are not allowed. This includes (but is not limited to) discussing, asking for or providing, in any way, shape, or form any of the following: Illegal copies of copyrighted software and related applications, methods of circumventing copyright protection, illegal copies of copyrighted media, methods of cheating in online games, or requesting/providing links/material from pornographic or obscene websites. This list is not an exhaustive one.
9. No Posting of User's Personal Information. These issues are left to the discretion of the Moderators and Administrators, but may include any material that is knowingly false, defamatory, misleading, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, racist, sexist, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy or that otherwise violates any law or encourages conduct constituting a criminal offense. This will also include posting of emails, IMs, PMs, or any other communications where at least one party had the impression of it being private.
10. Signature Limits.
1. Maximum of 6 images. Images are defined as any hyperlinked image file or Rotating Banner.
2. The maximum width of any image is 500 pixels.
3. The combined images cannot be larger than 500 x 175 pixels.
4. The total combined file size of these images cannot be larger than 800 KB.
5. Text within your signature cannot be larger than size 4.
6. NO offensive content
The TEXT in your signatures MUST NOT exceed the Image height set out above. The TOTAL character count must be 100 characters or less. If you have text only, then please remember this.
If you have an image sig, then you may also have one line of text below that image. The text must be DIRECTLY below, no line spaces. And the character count must be less than 100 characters.
Any sigs that fail to comply to this will be removed by a MOD or an Admin. Abuse, in the opinion of the Moderators, can result in the loss of signature privileges.
11. Report Post Feature. Using the report post button located within each post generates an email to the forum moderators / administrators. If you come across a post that you feel is violating any forum posting rules, feel free to use this feature, but keep in mind that abusing it will quickly get you suspended from the forums.
12. No Trolling. Posts intended solely to annoy and/or offend other posters by going against the clear nature of a topic are not allowed. This includes but is not limited to provoking other users to respond with flames or provoking fans of a particular system or game. Continual harassing behaviour directed towards a certain individual or group with the intent of creating an intimidating, offensive or hostile environment within the forums will not be tolerated. This will also include demeaning or derogatory comments directed towards staff. If you have a complaint or an issue with a staff member or any aspect of the site, send an email to EMAIL ADDRESS and it will be investigated.
13. Rule Violations. Threads and posts that violate the BT Warrior Forum Rules will be deleted from the forums, and additional penalties may be applied at the moderator's/administrator's discretion. Re-posting deleted violations (yours or those of others) is also considered a violation. Posts and threads may be removed at any time and for any reason at the sole discretion of BT Warrior and its designated moderators. User accounts may be warned, suspended, or revoked at any time and for any reason at the sole discretion of BT Warrior and its designated moderators without notification. All determinations of what is "acceptable" and "unacceptable" content will be determined solely by BT Warrior and whoever it designates as moderators. The decision of the moderators/administrators is final, and you may not legally contest their rulings. Intentional, repeated, or severe violations will be cause for the banning of your account, the use of the forums from your IP address or your entire ISP, and BT Warrior contacting your ISP or other relevant parties concerning your activities.
14. Sales & Advertising. "Links, used for the sole purpose of advertising products, paintball or non paintball related, shall not be used on this website/forums without express written consent from BT Warrior Management. Personal sales, such as member to member of personal items are acceptable in the appropriate forum. Signatures shall not contain links to outside websites for the sole purpose of increasing sales for that website as, without permission, it can be construed that BT Warrior condones and recommends these products. Links posted for the purpose of educating or informing the membership of industry specific information is acceptable, however this determination will be at the discrimination of the Administrators.
BT:WO do not operate a BST section for the use of the casual member. We do operate a user membership programme that offers further enhancements to your Warrior Online experience, including the ability to trade with other members.
15. Latest Status Update section is not to be; spammed, used to post abusive or offensive comments or material, and MUST NOT be used to bypass our "buy, sell, trade" rules.
As a rule, BT Warrior does not condone use, approve, recommend, or guarantee any product unless so stated by the BT Warrior Management.
