I was looking at the Umarex P22 at Bass PRo the other day. Thinkning about getting one for target shooting messing around. Unfortuneatly they are only available in clear plastic :cry2:
Are they any good and what would be the better one to get the spring operated or the electric.

unfortunately your not going to find very many non-clear airsoft guns around Canada, unless you order it in parts then put it together your self.

but I agree go electric.

We (as in mostly my kids...) had one like that - a Crossman something-or-other.
We used that and a couple of other airsoft guns for playing around in the backyard.  I have about 7 acres so it's a big backyard.  We don't play paintball too much as the I'm guessing the neighbors wouldn't like the noise.

Our pistol and the pump-action shotgun were manual but a mp-5 lookalike was electric.  If you can get an electric version of the pistol I'd get that first.

Is it an electric pistol? I think its a springer? I might be wrong.

I have held A Umarex P99 Walther and they make really solid guns. Its a pity that they are not allowing their better products to be sold in Canada.

I bought the black springer at D-day, it's pretty wicked. Has a good solid feel to it.

Never, ever buy a Electric pistol. Your looking at about 160-180 with .12g which is pitifull for a airsoft gun. Unless you can get a AEP but last time I checked those are far and few and can cost a very pretty penny but they do have a M93-R and MP7A1 models ou by either CYMA or JG which arwe worth it.

Best bet would be to get a springer pistol better yet a GBB or NBB but then you have to buy C02 every 200 or 250 shots but it's worth it all of them hover around 300-315 and have every model of pistol thought of. That's all if your going pistol though. Rifles are another story

Back to the original question I have used the Umarex P99 and G22 dual power and they are decent products have no expierence with the P22.
