Putting excessive pressure on the barrel will give you more feel but can wear out the ridges on the barrel faster. When assembling the shells together you will find the barrel will be pushed up and not line up with the left side shell properly. You will have to put a small allan key in the hole in the barrel and pull the barrel down so it registers in the left shell.
