I tried both of the BT holsters, but I'm trying out a Cordless drill holster slightly modified for the next few games, if not I'll be trying to make a custom one somehow. While searching out ideas for a holster I came across this:
http://www.combatspo...sterwmolle.aspx

Our pistol is quite large, looks like a larger version of the one everyone else uses for T8 and TPX.

Did you try the new BT combat multi holster? I have one and it works great for my SA-17.

I've got that one and the Universal Holster(trimmed so the barrel sticks out). Neither one are working the best for me. Not that they are bad, they hold the pistol well.
The Multi Holster adjusts real well to swallow as much of the 17 as the user likes which is great. With the spring feed I could use another half inch of elastic in there though, cut down on the amount of "hook" I scrape across my pistol when I'm trying to be quiet.
The Universal Holster, once you cut some stitches out of the bottom to let the barrel out, also works good. And the extra loops for 12gs are handy.
For me though the straps are too close together. I don't have MOLLE anywhere on my rig, so on a regular pistol belt my holster might be swinging around a bit more than others.

Both work good, just fishing around to see if I like something better.

Gotcha! Make sure to put up some pics if you find something crazy that works.

the combat multi  holster is awesome, I have one and love it, and it has 2 straps on it meant for a belt, and a third for molle so its designed to work both ways and its extremily adjustable

On mine, one of those straps would unsnap every other time I draw my pistol. I was gonna stitch them down with a leather punch if I use it again. Or relocate them, a little nicer having a touch of forward tilt to it on a regular gunbelt.

Only other way I'd like to improve it is break the outer piece into it's 3 components. The regular section to secure it to a belt or harness whichever side you have it on, the elastic section also with Velcro so you can adjust how much stretch you want, and replace the straps on the last section with Molle webbing or elastic for 12gs.

I'm no expert, but this is just a suggestion.  Have you thought about getting the MOLLE leg rig.  I have been looking to get an SA-17 after I get my TM-15, and i would be getting the leg rig with it.  Just a suggestion.

* edit  I meant to say i would get leg rig and universal holster.

Last time out I used a Tib8 for a few games, it's holster was a drop leg style. It seemed a bit low for me. If I come across a Molle drop leg I'll give it a try. I use both cargo pockets to hold tubes and as a dump pouch though, another reason my pistol rides a lil higher.

Well, i cant help you much more, due to my lack of experience. I wish you luck on finding your perfect holster though.

I've got the BT leg rig with the combat multi holster, after a few modifications it works like a charm with my Sa-17, if you look under the thread "small improvements" I posted a picture of my slight mod to fix the 10 round magazine getting stuck in the holster when drawing it out. the only problem I had originally was the snaps on the multi holster sucked, they never stayed snapped, even just blowing on them made them come apart, so I took my multi tool and bent them a little bit, and it's really hard to unsnap now, so it works perfectly, I also used a bit of Velcro strap to help secure the holster more firmly to the leg rig (not needed but I wanted to be extra safe) and it's rock solid. even running with it, I don't have that side to side sway from the gun in the holster which some people get, and it rides at the right height since the BT leg rig is height adjustable. I tried several other holsters and none worked all that well, I even use the straps on the other side to secure a double sided molle plate which I put an elastic molle 10 round tube holder which fits 8 tubes. I'll have to get pics up soon.   my only problem is the duty belt, the straps on the bottom of my vest are at a height where my duty belt is around my thighs, and this is the highest I can get it to go, so I run the leg rig off my pants belt.

I like that idea about bending the snaps, that's the main reason I stopped using it. I stitched a rudimentary MOLLE panel on that drill holster(took the outside stuff off) to take advantage of that 30 degree tilt. The universal fits fine but the multi holster has a hard time lining up with the MOLLE straps.

Yea I have found that BT's molle gear never seems to line up with each other, you sorta have to mess with it a bit

Well I got stuck out on the road many times the past few weeks and had a project in my head after reading this article about how to make a leather paintball pistol holster: http://www.ody.ca/~cwells/how_to.htm
So I was off to locate a leather drill holster. They are not as common around here as I remember. Well I couldn't find one after many trips, but I kept seeing a holster for a large tape measure, I figure I could trim off the bottom piece and try to imitate one of those minimalist holsters I see for regular pistols. A little trim, soak in the hot water, working a bit with my hands to get it to set where I want, then hung it up to dry with my wrapped pistol inside, and I get this:

I don't know how it will work for an unmodified pistol, my spring feed has been bolted down and does not really move anymore.

I finally located a leather drill holster (thank you flea market!) and got to work and made this:

I might have made it a bit on the snug side, it does not really need the strap to hold the pistol in once it's popped into place. Both of these had leather belt tabs on top that made it hard to draw the pistol when they hang down from the belt. Another soak and I folded them under and clamped them to dry. Stitched em both down and they ride nicely on my belt now.

The full holster, due to the pistol's size leaves a hug chunk of leather sticking out on your side. It also still needs some work on it, hard to draw. Maybe I need to work the leather some in a few spots.
But what started life to hold tape measures and formed into what almost looks like a leather strap around my pistol, worked great this weekend. I ran all over the place and my pistol never came close to falling out. There won't be any quick draws with it, but I even trimmed it so i could change CO2 while it's in the holster!

Sorry to raise this from the dead, but will that holster work if I stick a little red dot on the top of the gun?
