So I was wondering what is the difference between the normal looking paintball guns with a trigger attached to a barrel and a scenerio gun like a bt delta tippman project salvo and alpha black? Is there any difference other than looks? Witch is better?

Internally there are some major differences however the end result is the same- a paintball leaves the barrel at 280 fps and hits an opposing player. The delta is pretty basic as it gets. Then there are minis which the TM-15 is based on. Completely different way of operating. The bottom line is to have a marker that suits your style of play. I know lots of guys who play woodsball with a speedball marker. To them it's about playing paintball not necessarily the milsim aspect. In my opinion it's not the marker that makes the player, it's going out there for the love of the game, having a good time, and being a good sport to encourage others to play and grow the game.
Cheers!

We all do.  Its just Tourny gun/Mil-SIM marker either one you can get it that same thing.  "Good Looks" and "reliable".   So if MIL-Sim is your game, like it is for me, the Battle Tested series is great.  If you like hopping over blow up bunkers and sliding on your stomach an legs for 7 - 10 minutes at a time, then the Tourny marker; such as the Mini and the AXE is just for you.

In the MIL-SIM world, you are NOT going to find a better relilable product than Empire Battle Tested.

Speedball guns can really hug cover pretty well and those guys have a lot of mobility. And in the thick of it, shiny doesn't matter. I react more on sound than on sight when the paint flies and speedball guns make just as much noise as milsim guns.
Cheers!

Its really a personal preference thing but i would consider the type of field you will playing at the most, if they are nothing but balloons and hyper ball fields you will probably do better with a speed style marker. but then again i have seen BT products perform well in many a speed ball game.

It all depends on your playing style. If your an up close and personal player a speed ball type gun has its advantages. Like it was already said a speedball gun can hug a bunker allot closer and switch hands to shoot from either side of a bunker allot easier. But I like the heft and feel of shooting a rifle and it just feels bad arse to have that look. And at the end of the day it's what you like and have fun with. I used to run a vest and carry six pods onto the field with an Iron Horse and it was a blast! But as my game evolved or progressed I found I preferred the light fast attack method of playing and lugging a ton of gear became very annoying to me. Lately I have been playing indoors with just a hopper full of paint and thats it! The feel of freedom is unsurpassed. This summer I will just be going on the field with two pods of paint and make every shot count! I'm also old with a bad hand that can't carry a heavy gun all day so I'm sure pain has had a big influence on my set up. Just do what you want, try different set ups and have fun! Try a 20" sniper barrel, try limiting your paint, just don't limit your imagination! Guess what? You will try things that don't work or just don't feel right. Just sell what you don't like and try something else. But ya, light and fast is what I'm doing! Feyd.............

You have to find a reason. For me, its military and team work.

I would love to see Tomcat set up a set of dual BT-4's like a A-5 Double trouble! Now that would be a sight to see! And I don't think that mod has been done yet. Feyd..............
